    Default GTA IV System Requirements

    The final system requirements for the long awaited PC version of GTA IV have been released!
    Grand Theft Auto IV: GTA IV PC Delayed, Final System Requirements Revealed

    Minimum System Requirements
    * OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3
    * Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz, AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz
    * Memory: 1.5GB, 16GB Free Hard Drive Space
    * Video Card: 256MB NVIDIA 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900

    Recommended System Requirements
    * OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3
    * Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz, AMD Phenom X3 2.1Ghz
    * Memory: 2 GB (Windows XP) 2.5 GB (Windows Vista)
    * 18 GB Free Hard Drive Space
    * Video Card: 512MB NVIDIA 8600 / 512MB ATI 3870
    It looks like the extra core(s) on triple and quad core CPUs are starting to be utilized. From what I see, they focus more on extra cores to run the game than a strong GPU.

    The official release date is December 2nd.

    I expected the requirements to be a little bit higher to be honest. If you play it on Xbox 360 the game looks stunning. I thought that at least an 8800GT would be recommended. The lower system requirements is good news for everybody though. Those who have somewhat weaker machines will be able to run it. Those with stronger machines will be able to play it even better.

    I'm looking forward to this game. I held off the console version for two reasons: the 360 costs 500 euros where I live and I don't have an account to play online. I'll be buying it.

    I'm looking forward to Fable 2 on any console. I know it's out, but I don't havve anything other than a PC, so I can't play it. If it's coming to PC, I'm pumped.

    If you have a 400+GB hard drive you'll be fine. But on second though, most people are still best friends with their 80GB hard drives.

    i'm honestly shocked here. a game that has MINIMUM Requierments as a 2 core processor? i know that it is the standard now, but seriously even the video card seems a bit high. perhaps i'm out of touch but i think they are overshooting system specs like Vanguard did. the game might be running like shit no matter how good your system is.

    GTA IV runs flawless on my Desktop .. having AMD Turion X2 3 GHZ and 1GB ATI Radeon 2840 Graphics ... should do good enough !
