If anyone is looking to start working out..
Stay away from P90X, unless you have balls of steel.
I just started the 90 Day Program.. And all i can say is..
Day 1 = Passed out/Puked.
That shit is hardcore. I've never worked out that hard before.
You've been warned.
P90X® - Fitness, Nutrition, Diet, Weight Loss Official Website
did you go to the gym regulary before you tried p90x?
Life is an art, your the artist, and the best paintings are ones filled with passion and emotions.
that could be the problem because your body isn't use to your muscle tearing and regrowing, It can't recover as fast as someone who's been working out regularly. If you don't work out regularly or have in the past your going to experience extreme soreness when you first start out because your body isn't adapted to it yet. Once this adapting phase is over your can start lifting heavy weights. Usually If I've taken a long break, I would go do 12 reps x 3 sets (50% strength) of whatever exercises I'm on for 2 weeks so my body can readjust to lifting. I would stay away from performance enhancers the first month of lifting (except protein and a ill creatine if you can't find the energy).
Basically before you red line in 3rd gear, you got to red line in 1st and 2nd.

Shocking.
Alright, without going into details, all those programs that have a price tag are just marketing at its best.
These guys take the hardest exercises, put them together and put a special name on it.
Most of the time, these programs go against even the most basic weightlifting 'rules', if you must.
These programs generally aren't healthy because they tell you what you want to hear, but it's a lie. From telling you what you want to hear, they end up making the program potentially unhealthy.
If I were you, I would stop and look into something else.
Also, if you don't know how to properly use supplements or how to properly weightlift, you should get a trainer.
That almost dead feeling you got isn't normal. It's bad for the body.
It's really not safe to push yourself like that. Not to mention it also limits progress as it is, but if you put in the kind of intensity you described and you don't have the proper nutrition, you'll kill yourself.

I use supplements and i have a good idea of how to exercise. I'm actually quite happy with p90x. I Have a higher rate of adaptability. The soreness isn't bothering me as much.
Although i will agree the reason why i almost passed out / puked was because i wasn't ready with the energy demands of the program.
Oh also, the program cost me 0$ :P (Hint: What goes "Argghhh!!! Matey?")
@ OwnYoAzz:
I understand the concept of tear and regrow. but the only way to get into "someone who's been working out regularly" I need to actually start somewhere to be that someone. Soreness comes with the territory. I use to be pretty active i've just been slacking. My body will react shortly and meet the demands of the program. It's the first thing that's gotten me pretty excited (and tired too )
What exercises are you doing the first day to pass out? The closing to me passing out is doing intense circuit training while having a cold (lack of oxygen).

Chest + Arms Excercises. Ie: Pushups / dips. That might seem silly except i was doing like 10 different forms of push ups and dips in quick succession with about 15 second break intervals.
needless to say i think i over exerted myself big time. which caused me to feel like crap for a few.
i didn't exactly pass out by the way, just felt light headed/dizzy. definately felt like puking tho.
