Oh but you have to play Diablo 1...If you started off playing Diablo 2 without playing through Diablo 1 then that means you don't follow the storyline... Not following the storyline in RPG's is just ludicrous!
You go around killing things but you don't know what your killing, the story behind what your killing, or why your killing it! (Besides getting experience and bonuses for it...)
A true RPG gamer imagines he is the very character he controls within its world, and it is he being challenged and not his character.
If you don't dream last nights quest in real time your imagination fails.
hehe yea... sio tha gets a bit wierd when your playing a sorc after playing the mage in D1... i can be a black man... but a woman I may not be that comfortable with.
Diablo 2 could easily be a stand alone game. D1 didn't really have all that much story and lore. BUT if you play Diablo 3 without reading every book you will be missing out.
