Ladder on/Off Switch

I was thinking, wouldn't it be a good thing if you could have the chance to convert your Ladder Character to non Ladder if you chose to? for example, like dropping out of the "Race" sort to speak.

I say this because ive built ladder characters half way only to stop and build another, would be nice if i could take that non ladder character and bring it over to the other realm instead of waiting for the ladder season to end.. ;(

You know, they wouldn't need a ladder reset if they made it possible for lvl 99s to improve on there skills. With a ability point tree you would have to level those points by killing more mobs until your whole tree of ability points are maxed and these points would improve your chances in pvps. For example one ability would improve your max hp by 5%, and another could be improve all resistance by 5 or something that keeps people wanting to constantly improve there toons.

only problem i see with that is they must make it easy enough to do and not too impossible so that the people with less time aren't plain owned by people who spend their life on their toons

it should be balanced..

Wouldn't you get owned by people who spend their life on diablo 3 anyways? lol I know I get owned by those people on d2, but thats what makes a game so fun, when your leveling your alt character, someone pisses you off, you go get another higher level character to pwnd his ass, than he brings another high level character, than you bring your main and he bring his, then its endless hours of trash talking and relish in pure hormonal pride that he can't kill your Vit Barb lol which only last a few minutes before he brings his friend to one-hit kill you. : )

hahaha the good ole' days. I can't believe blizz doesn't understand that. Trash talking is fun >
