    Exclamation Set Items???

Well hey lets face it alot of set mixtures were dope (strangely mostly low lvl sets....) for instance Sigons boots glove, deaths sash glove, angelic rings ammy, and thats just to name a few small combos that can make a big difference in leveling and sometimes even in dueling (yes i love the death set combo CBF, IAS and LL why the heck not, leveling the real weay (which yeah we will ALL have to do again) you remember right? from lvl 1 fighting the entire way to lvl 99 ive done it before and ive gotten pged before but thats neither here nor there....

To get back on topic ill start with this.

Hopes- That all high level sets dont completely blow compared to anything else you can get, lets point out some shit ass high lvl sets-
    IK
    Mavivinas
    Aldurs
    the list can go on....
I can only hope that blizzard and the d3 team put some thought into it if they do keep the whole set idea (i dont see why not) they should make high lvl sets not suck utterly they should be something people actually want and want to wear on their PC's and not something they get just to have a ik barb or w/e I wanna see uber Witch doctor sets ande barb sets without being limited to the type of weapon because lets face it.... how many people used a maul when they can use BOTD axes and a SS i mean really...
Id like to see some nice + skills RESISTANCES THAT ARENT RETARDED some nice boosts, i mean damn low level set items had better effects half the time then high lvl sets (tal rasha mixture wasnt to shabby though i admit)
Sigons set was dope for a low lvl you know you cant deny it but tell me what set that was a high lvl req was dope in any way? (aside from Tal's armor//ammy//belt combo) but yeah... lets hope they dont screw it all up again.

My hopes for the loot is for uniques and sets to be comparable in power but with different bonuses (sets where you can pick which types of bonuses you want...+3 to arcane OR +3 to storm...along those lines)

then Crafted items or rare items...etc have the rare possibility to hold better stats than uniques and sets.

With this way people can have Unique setups but if they find a rare item that is better...go ahead and swap it out!
    The below statement is true.

I can't disagree that the elite set's weren't really worth using. I think it was patch 1.10 that made it easier to find the higher up set items. I found so many Tal's and IK armors I was almost ready to stop picking them up (although it seemed to get harder again with 1.11/2). It kind of makes sense that the low level items were still pretty good, it makes you sacrifice things like defense for the stat benefits. Although even then sets like Sigon's were still a pain because even as a barbarian you couldn't use it until a few levels above the minimum because of the strength requirement. Which was even worse for every other class. By the time you could equip the full set you equip some decent low level unique/runeword items.

Just as a side not I always found Sazabi's to be the most useless high level set...

I'm definitely with Sirlaughtalot on the rares/crafted items.. they should have the best stats for items. I do want to see more unique/set items to be equally as good. One thing I never liked about D2 is the fact that most of the time there were only a couple really good items of each type which were worth using (at least it seemed that way). I personally think it would be much better if there were so many options for each type that you actually have to put some thought into which to use, and everyone wouldn't have the same cookie cutter builds. I mean I guess having the randomly generated items the best it would more of less solve that, but I would still like to see it for the unique set items.

I think there should be multiple items that have basically the same benefits, that way each player wont be going after the same shield, or the same helmet and in the end everyone will be pretty much the same

Variety is the key, in D2 everyone was going after the same item and it made it harder to trade especially now because everyone want's an anni or torch and won't trade it for anything but another better torch or whatever.
