i liked charms when i was 99 i used torches and stuff like crazy so i could get all the major buffs.
Yeah charms kinda negated the bigger inventory in d2 xpac. Charms are cool but they need a way so they don't take up space!

This is why charms are different than skills guys. They take space so you can't have 1001 charms. You have to carefully plan which charm to equip.
I like the charm system just the way it was...

What I'm thinking is, there should be a separate inventory for charms only. That way you can still hold 40 spaces of charms without having sacrifice item/chest space.
From a post on Bashiok Discusses Inventory Systems - Diablo 3 News Forums
Diablo III's community manager Bashiok has posted a response to the suggestion that a weight system be implemented in Diablo III in the Official Forums.
A weight system is simply a different approach to inventory restrictions, and it's actually fairly similar to a grid based system except that weight systems are generally augmented by a character stat instead of being item based upgrades.
The main issue with these systems as they relate to Diablo III is they add an additional value to items. That secondary value works to complicate and thus slow down the inventory management of a player, drawing their attention away from the action, which is of course the main focus for us with Diablo III.
I've played a few RPGs with weight systems, and they're among my favorite games of all time, but it's a case of choosing which systems works best for each game.
Reading his response, it seems unlikely that they will be implementing weight, as these would add an additional value to items, which bogs down inventory management almost as much as the 'tetris inventory'.
I wouldn't be surprised if they used World of Warcraft's system, perhaps with a few interface tweaks that allow for simpler management of equipment, as some player-created mods for World of Warcraft offer.
I hope they use a tabbed inventory system with a different tab for Weapons, Armor, Misc
The below statement is true.
The above statement is false.
i think that this would e a great way to do inventory and weapons and armor but the
W.o.W. idea is good they have a good setup goin thats probably my 2nd or 3rd fav. choic in inventory
I for one like the d2 system. Although time consuming at times, and perhaps interrupting the action, I liked having to sort through my inventory to make room for a larger item. Its like challenge to sort things on the run before you get to the next mob.
The only thing I hated was moving your inventory of 40 gems, or 40 runes to your stash which meant 80 clicks. A drag 'n' drop (possibly with the ability to select more then one item at once) system would be an improvement, but if they stuck with the same d2 system it wouldn't bother me one bit.
No matter the inventory system they decide to use, the only disappointing thing to me is having all the items the same grid size. But even that isn't really that big of a deal, at least not to me.
Yeah i don't like the idea of all items having the same grid. Items seem very worthless with that system. Warhammer has a item per grid system, and it makes the item feel cheap and kills your imagination of how big and purdy its suppose to be.

I believe I have read somewhere that smaller Items will be able to stack in a single space.
I also like the whole big pretty items deal and think the d2 system would have worked if it had had an auto sort mechanism.
