so sad but true.
Let's face it people.
The Necromancer will not make an appearance in Diablo 3. I make this assumption based on facts. They're too many similarities between the two classes, thus releasing two classes that do the exact same thing would be stupid and a waste of time and effort by blizzard. Im sorry to be the bearer of bad news but
Let's do a comparison Necromancer vs Witchdoctor:
Here are the run down and effects of the Witchdoctors Skills
Witchdoctor skills
Firebomb - Range Attack , throws a bomb that explodes on impact and causes AoE fire damage.
Horror - Causes an holographic image appear of the witchdoctor causing enemies to flee in horror.
Locust Swarm - Witchdoctor casts out locust to engulf his enemies, devouring them piece by piece.
Mass Confusion - Casts a curse upon enemies to Confuse them and make them attack their own allies.
Soul Harvest - An attack that drains the life or mana of enemies surrounding the attack. AoE effect.
Hmm those sound might familiar... oh that's right they are. Here are the Necromancer Skills
Necromancer skills
Bone spirit - Fires a skull that tracks it's enemies and causes magic damage. Homing Ability. Single Attack.
Terror - This curse causes its victim to hallucinate, conjuring their greatest fear. Makes enemies flee. Aoe Spell.
Poison Nova - this spell befouls the atmosphere surrounding the caster and releases a poisonous gas that is toxic to the minions of evil, yet harmless to the necromancer/humans. AoE Spell.
Confuse - can tap into the spirit realm, channeling bitter and mischievous spirits into the minds of nearby enemies. Making them attack their own allies. AoE Spell.
Life Tap - This skill allows the Necromancer to literally suck the life from his victims. The Necromancer is able to reach into the wellspring of mortality and siphon off its essence, consuming it to replace his own. AoE Spell.
The Exact same skill set. Different Pixels and name on another character.
Sorry guys, but the necromancer is dead. Think about it. 2 Necromancers in the game? Get real, and let's get over it
Discuss.
so sad but true.
They should have both. They should have a whole lot more than just 5-6 jobs. There should be a Sorceress AND Mage, a Necro AND Witchdoctor, a Paladin AND Templar.
Just gives us a shitload of options for longevity's sake!
The more time that they spend on adding classes, the less time that they will spend on environments, storyline, etc. etc.
Personally, I don't want to wait any longer than necessary for this game, I'm already as excited as can be.
Don't worry i read that they are thinking of adding an expansion pack to D3 with all the old classes included.
