not sojs. I doubt duping will be in d3. Servers will be more secure then d3. Bliz has more money and experience this time around. Each item will have its own unique ID this time. The new currency will be either runes (if there in d3) or something uncommon, uniform, and useful.

For example if crafting is worth doing and requires massive amounts of a particular item such as pskulls expect those to be used as currency. Higher tier items will probably require higher level/more valuable currency such as runes.

i think it might be regular gold.
the old d2 economy was based on sojs worth in items.

for example, a soul scratch was worth 20sojs. etc

The only thing I remember gold being good for was repairing dinged up items and raising suicidal mercs. Will this change?

Gold in D2 was a waste of memory. I say nix it and have a quest for both mercs and item repairs.

Diablo 3 was confirmed to be gold the main currency , i read in some article
that's definately interesting.
