i usually quit and started a new character around mid 70s, so im indifferent.
I heard that they have not decided on a level cap yet for Diablo 3. Meaning we could potentially be level 100 in Diablo 3. Or so i've heard.
How would this make you feel about the game? Would you care? Or is there something mystical about the level 99 that we're fond of.
Would you rather be a level 99 Barbarian or a level 100 Barbarian

I remember hearing something about the level cap being 100 and mercenaries 99...It might have been in an interview or video-interview if I remember I'll post it.
My highest character is 91 next 90 and next after that is high 80's but mostly low 80's is the max before I decide to create a new character.
I lent my friend my account cuz he wanted to try botting w/ my mfer which was stupid of me and after a few months I wanted to play again and luckily my account wasn't banned...that got to just lvl 91 but my hammerdin is 90 due to all the baal and chaos runs he's done. The hours of leveling required to get to the 90+ range is rediculous...I have more fun creating new characters and builds.
The below statement is true.
The above statement is false.
I had a few lvl 99s so it doesn't matter what the cap is, I'ma cap it with all 5 characters lol

I can recall a post on the Blizzard forums asking about the level cap in which Boshiok replied to. I think he verified that the level cap was indeed 100.
I believe the reason was because it was more logical since level 100 would mean your 100% complete.
That sickening... was that before they added a range for exp or when you could join hell cows and sit by the portal?
Anyway, it doesn't really matter to me, the highest I ever had was 96, which was also a terrible character because I messed up the skills, lol.
One good thing I can think of for having 100 instead of 99 is the extra attribute/skill points.
I'm with Canadian Jesus though, I would usually level characters up to mid 70's - low 80's and then level a new one. I will probably end up doing that even more, especially in the beginning so I can try out more builds and then level the builds that are good to higher 80's - 90's. I doubt I will ever get to 100 unless I somehow learn how to not die as much
99 is the perfect level. It's two digits long and when people see it they kneel down and kiss your feet. 99 also looks more powerful than 100. I hope the level cap will be like in Diablo 2; 99.
Whatever Blizzard does, they cannot make the level cap 60, 70, or 80. They also cannot make the leveling system like WoW. If the level and leveling system is similar to WoW, the game will most likely suck. What I loved about Diablo 2 is that within a week of rushing and runs I could have a character in the 90's. Where in WoW you have to invest months.
Whenever something new comes out I just hope as much as I can that it won't be like WoW. To be honest I hate pretty much everything about WoW except the world is pretty.
Yeah my first lvl 99 was a nova/orb sorc, than I leveled a hammerdin to lvl 99, than 2 amazons, and 1 barbarian. I would just go join cow games and find an exp shrine and clear the place in 1-2minutes, but this was back like 5-6 years ago, and I believe cow level gave more exp back than.
